Furniture Restoration

In our furniture workshop our Young Adults are learning to develop their work skills and commitment to a project over a number of weeks. Having been given their piece of furniture they work on it from the beginning and see it through to the finish developing many skills including the preparation work, sanding, painting, waxing, choosing colours and handles and where necessary doing the new upholstery and making cushions. 

"In furniture I sand, paint and reupholster old furniture for us to sell. I like turning old furniture into a new looking pieces. I have crafted new cushion covers and painted patterns that gives old furniture a completely new look." Chloe Gerrard
